Tertiary Butyl Hydroquinone is a synthetic food grade anti-oxidant, used to stabilize foods, fats and vegetable oils against oxidative deterioration and thus extending their storage life. Tocopherol, a natural antioxidant present in vegetable oils is often inadequate for oxidative stability.
